SPECIAL OFFER | Whirlpool Jet Boats | USA/Canada | PEAK SEASON
Whirlpool Jet Boats offers two different Jet Boating experiences on the Niagara River. The "Wet Jet" trip getting you soaked from head to toe and the "Jet Dome" trip keeping you dry!
Catch a glimpse of years past with Fort George and Fort Niagara while traversing the same waterways used during the war of 1812. Hear about the history from the on board river guide who recounts events in the area, points of interest, the mechanics of the Jet Boat and thoroughly entertains passengers and maintains their safety and comfort while on board. Up into the swift moving current as the gorge walls climb on either side of the boat to 200 feet above. See the power plants and watch the turbines roar as they cruise past at 50 mph. Suddenly Devils Hole Rapids appear and the boats are greeted by their biggest obstacle. The ultimate destination is the legendary Whirlpool, just a short distance below the turbulent water of one of the natural wonders of the world, mighty Niagara Falls. Look up, there’s the Whirlpool Cable Car high above. The anticipation builds as you head on back down through Devils hole Rapids and introduce passengers to the power and excitement of the River ….. Gear up and get ready … this is something you have to try for yourself.
Guests must arrive 30-45 minutes prior to register, sign a participation agreement, get dressed and hear the pre-trip briefing and orientation. All necessary gear is provided including wool sweaters, ponchos, splash suits for cooler weather, footwear and of course the life jacket. Bring a complete change of clothes.
The trip can be as wet as swimming. In fact, at times guests are seated in the Jet Boat up to the knees in water!! Change rooms are available on site. The entire Wet Jet experience is generally two hours in duration - arrival by 30 minutes prior, approximately one hour tour and approximately 30min post trip to change into dry clothes and visit their River Shop to view photos taken of your trip on the Niagara River.
Departures from Niagara On The Lake, ON are one hour tours. Departures from Lewiston, NY and the Niagara Glen are 45min tours. The difference is being the distance on the flat water on the Niagara River between NOTL and Lewiston to get to the Whirlpool and Niagara Gorge. Actually in Lewiston and the Niagara Glen guests get an extra run through the rapids.
